We believe in solidarity, not charity.
Soup faeries serving and supporting people in need residing in Miami and South Florida.
Solidarity, Not Charity
The mission of Food Not Bombs is to recover and share free vegan or vegetarian food with the public without restriction to protest war, poverty, and the destruction of the environment. Each of our over 1,000 groups is independently making decisions using the consensus process. Food Not Bombs is also dedicated to taking nonviolent direct action to change society so no one is forced to stand in line to eat at a soup kitchen expressing a commitment to the fact that food is a right and not a privilege. With over a billion people going hungry each day how can we spend another dollar on war?
Right now is the best time to help our community become better connected and more resilient.
Food Not Bombs Miami is currently doing a food and resource share ever Sunday at 5pm in Downtown Miami. If you are able to give out food Sundays feel free to sign up for distribution via the Volunteering Tab in the Main Menu above. You can also volunteer to help cook, drive, and do outreach.
We are currently accepting donations of perishable or non-perishable foods and materials like menstrual products, hand sanitizer, gloves, masks, and reusable containers.
Take our anonymous food scarcity survey so that our organizing team can better work towards meeting the direct needs of our surrounding communities!
More information on our food sharing schedule, monthly menus, and plans for food + material distribution during the COVID-19 pandemic coming shortly!
